What is Curtasoft and what does it do?

Curtasoft is an all-in-one online shop solution for soft furnishings retailers. Curtasoft is tailored for businesses selling items such as made to measure curtains, fabrics, roman blinds, curtain poles and accessories.

Curtasoft is a double-featured system and by choosing this system you will receive:

  • An online customer website - plugs into all major payment providers
  • A content editor system - add and update products quickly and simply with no technical knowledge required

Curtasoft enables the client to add / edit / delete an unlimited number of products using a very simple-to-use editor system. The system requires no technical or programming knowledge. The editor prompts the user for the relevant details for each product type such as product name, price, colours, sizes etc.

Curtasoft is web-based and thus does not require installation on a computer. All changes made through the Curtasoft editor will be instantly reflected on the website thus allowing quick updates without any delays. this means total flexibility: add, edit and delete products as-and-when you need to.

Each product allows for up to 50 colours to be added along with 2 images per colour. The Curtasoft image upload system sizes the images accordingly to create thumbnails, standard images and high resolution images thus keeping in with the structure and style of the chosen website design. You would simply select an image from your computer or digital camera and click an upload button; Curtasoft will then do the rest for you.

The main customer website specifically categorises these items into the relevant product groups e.g. curtain poles, made to measure curtains, fabrics etc. Each item has its own details page so that the range of colours and sizes can be viewed and added to the customers' basket.

The basket plugs into most popular payment systems such as Paypal, NoChex, SagePay, World Pay, or high street banking systems. The system will notify you upon payment and will send an intemised list to you and to the customer. We do not favour any one payment system over another so it is down to what is right for your business as some providers charge higher processing fees and lower monthly rental and vice versa.

The Curtasoft system is flexible so, for example, postage prices and free postage on orders over certain amounts can be applied if required. There is also a sales discount system where you can apply percentages off specific products or groups of products.

We always listen to suggestions and because the system is highly flexible and can be customised this allows specific requirements to be integrated into the system. These changes can be made without affecting your site and therefore will not require any 'downtime' and loss of sales.

Search Engines

Our websites are always built in a search engine friendly manner meaning that as much data relating to the items you are selling is placed on the page in a search engine recognised manner. We submit to and install Google Analytics onto your website ensuring you can keep an eye on how many people are visiting your website and how they are finding you. We also submit your products to Google Base (Google Shopping area).

Building your website

We would build your site in 2 phases. Firstly, we create several design ideas that can be emailed to you in JPEG image format. We are happy to listen to any suggestions you have or from websites that you have seen.

These design blueprints will be a replica of how your website would appear if in a web browser. It shows the menu, how images will be positioned, the text and other graphics styling. It is effectively a screenshot of how your website would look.

Once you are happy with the design we would then create the website from the blueprint.

Phase 1: create a design layout that we would email to you in JPEG format. The JPEG would effectively be a screenshot of what your site would look like when in a browser.

Phase 2: plug Curtasoft admin system into the site. You can then begin to learn how it works and even add products in whilst we carry on building the rest of the customer site

Phase 3: build the customer site - these are the pages that people will browse to buy your products
We do not provide copywriting services; text / images / information would need to be provided to us in electronic format where applicable.
